Year Ends for Zachary Thwaites in Kennesaw
Saturday, August 7th , 2055
The doctors have spoken and Zachary Thwaites of the Kennesaw Jets didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Thwaites sustained his season-ending injury during the Lake Erie Arryns game yesterday at Jets Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Kennesaw medical staff reported Thwaites had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months.
In 1 starts this season, Thwaites has picked up 2 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 51 innings, allowed 46 hits, struck out 29 and posted a 2.65 ERA.
