Wang on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, July 5th , 2055 21-year-old Yu Wang made a few Columbia headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 17 at-bats to put up a .588 average. Wang collected no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 3 runs. On the year Wang is hitting .275 with 41 hits, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, .345 OBP and has scored 14 runs. |
