van Houwelingen Selected SA's Top Player
Sunday, September 26th , 2055
The manager of the Pontiac Godfathers said he thinks Kobbe van Houwelingen is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the first baseman's 2055 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
His winning campaign featured a .274 batting average and a .395 on-base percentage this year. In 96 games he piled up 96 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 25 home runs, 71 RBIs and 59 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Larry Anderson of the Put-In-Bay Commodores finished second in voting, while Juan Gutiérrez of the Alameda Airmen finished third.
