SL A Championship to Put-In-Bay Saturday, September 11th , 2055 The Put-In-Bay Commodores ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Pontiac Godfathers 3-2 to win the SL A Championship. Put-In-Bay won the series 2-1, capturing the title for the 8th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Put-In-Bay manager Andrés Pérez. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 56-40 and claimed second place in the Silver A. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and reliever Fernando Bustamante said the Commodores have "great fans and they deserve this."
