Smoky Mountain Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Wednesday, August 18th , 2055 Even the most die-hard fans of the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Hobeaus starting pitcher Jason Taylor. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 10th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2037.In total, the Hobeaus have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 18-year history. |
