Godfathers Dalton Smacks 5 Hits Sunday, August 1st , 2055 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Pontiac's Shawn Dalton made it happen today against the Hobeaus. Everything came together at the plate for the 21-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 9 at-bats -- and led the Godfathers to a 15-4 win at Smokies Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Dalton said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Shawn Dalton hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th, doubled in the 13th, doubled in the 15th and hit a two-run single in the 15th. So far this season Dalton is batting .263 with no home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 228 at-bats, 26 walks and a .352 OBP. Dalton has played in 64 games.
