Burton Takes Charge, Blanks Monroeville, 4-0 Monday, July 26th , 2055 Lonnie Burton of the Pontiac Godfathers shut out the Monroeville Yinzers 4-0, stopped them on 3 hits and had 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing at Pontiac Copperdome today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Pontiac manager Allen Yohemas said later. "When Lonnie stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
