Kemp Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, September 5th , 2055 At Fuller Park today, Dennis Kemp of the Matlacha Manatees put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and mauled the Chicago Tula pitching staff, but Matlacha still came up short on the scoreboard. The Manatees went home with the 7-5 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their shortstop. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Kemp said in the postgame interview. Dennis Kemp doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
