Rocky Mountain Shuts Out Torch, McCormick Winner Tuesday, August 31st , 2055 Dave McCormick kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Rocky Mountain Vibes were all smiles after winning 7-0 against the Mancelona Torch at Bellevue Field today. The right-handed McCormick gave up no runs in his start, permitted 6 hits and had 14 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," McCormick said later.
