Road Win Lifts Mercer Island to 1-0 Lead in R1
With first baseman Milo Hamilton leading the charge, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a road win over the Crescent City Krewe, 10-4, in Game 1 of the PL AA Championship today. Hamilton went 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 at Field of the Krewe to help Mercer Island take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.

Hamilton came through for Mercer Island with a 2-run triple in the top of the second. He hit a 0-2 cutter to center field, staking his team to a 4-2 lead.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Krewe manager Cleveland Kraut said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Krewe in Kenner.
