Bullets Scratch Out 1-0 Win
|
MSL Long Island Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
MSL Baltimore Bullets pitcher José Bautista was in fine form, leading his team past the MSL Long Island Lighthouse, 1-0. In 7.1 innings, Bautista surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed no runs.
The Bullets got a big at-bat from center fielder Ronaldo García. For the game, García was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season gave MSL Baltimore a 1-0 lead.
"This was a good win for us," said García. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The second-place Bullets raised their record to 25-16.
