Kingfishers Take Down Elite, 1-0
|
In a tight game between the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers and the MSL Detroit Elite, pitcher Roald Mansvelt was terrific on the mound. The MSL Pittsburgh right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. José Garza closed it out for his 5th save. The Kingfishers go to 21-20, putting them 5th in the SL MSL.
The Kingfishers liked what they saw from Mansvelt. The 16-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Elite to no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings, and striking out 6.
"It feels good to get this one," Mansvelt told the MSL Pittsburgh Citizen.
