The MSL Baltimore Bullets got a strong performance from pitcher Alfonso Crisci, who stymied the MSL Long Island offense en route to a win, 4-2, at MSL Long Island Ballpark. César Cruz, now 4-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. With the win, MSL Baltimore upped its record to 24-16.
MSL Baltimore used the timely hitting of Joel Huxtable to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bullets on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said MSL Long Island skipper Austin Case, "and it cost us."
