84s Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Knights
|
The MSL Greenville 84s knocked off the MSL Kingston Township Knights, 6-4, at MSL Greenville Ballpark. Emílio Gutiérrez was a big reason MSL Greenville won. The shortstop was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Miguel Padilla, the winning pitcher, is now 9-2. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 0. With the win, MSL Greenville upped its record to 19-19.
Gutiérrez came through with some timely hitting for MSL Greenville. With MSL Kingston Township trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Gutiérrez hit a 2-1 changeup for a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season made it 5-4, MSL Greenville.
