Bullets Down Stingers, 4-2
|
The Bullets grabbed a win, 4-2, at MSL Toledo Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from MSL Toledo pitcher Domingo Velasco. Velasco went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. MSL Baltimore reliever César Cruz picked up the win to move to 3-0. Júlio Herrera suffered the loss. Jesús Cruz finished to wrap up his 4th save.
MSL Baltimore used the timely hitting of Ofa Paulo to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bullets on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Paulo.
The third-place Bullets are now 22-15, the Stingers 17-20.
