Oaks Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
MSL Oakland right-hander Alexander Akerval pitched his team to victory over the MSL Baltimore Bullets at MSL Oakland Ballpark. The final score was 6-4. In 5 innings, Akerval surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Octávio Vázquez earned save number 2 this season.
With MSL Oakland leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, José Aguilar hit a 2-run single off MSL Baltimore pitcher Rob Hounsell. It put the Oaks ahead 3-0.
"This was a good win for us," said Aguilar. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
MSL Oakland, at 22-11, holds down first place in the SL MSL.
