The MSL Hollywood Shredders went down to defeat to Don Wichman and his MSL Cape Coral teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Hurricanes. In 8 innings, Wichman surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Norbert Toxopeus earned save number 5 this season.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Jesús Costa barreled up a splitter from Addie Uytenhage. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Hurricanes in front, 4-0.
Wichman expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
