Battery Rally For 4-2 Win
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the MSL Charleston Battery and MSL Las Vegas Flamingos.
MSL Charleston starter Curley Martha had a strong outing against the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. MSL Charleston reliever Jim King picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Spagorl Barna was saddled with the loss.
MSL Charleston used the timely hitting of Ethan Rosbotham to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Battery on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This was a good win for us," said Rosbotham. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The Battery move to 16-8 with the win, while the Flamingos drop to 11-13.
