MSL Kingston Township pitcher Luis Vargas did his part in helping his team beat the MSL Greenville 84s, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save was credited to Boryenka Ahmadishin, his 4th. The 7th-place Knights now have a win-loss record of 5-7.
In the bottom of the seventh, MSL Kingston Township third baseman Michael Bal hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, Knights.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Vargas told the MSL Kingston Township Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
