Northern Lions BC Defeat Flamingos, 4-2
|
MSL Thunder Bay starter Amur Bandele had a strong outing against the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Bandele picked up the win for MSL Thunder Bay, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. MSL Thunder Bay is now 9-11, MSL Las Vegas 10-10.
The Northern Lions BC got an important contribution from catcher Sakutaro Kato, who in the bottom of the third hit a full count fastball into right for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 4-1.
"I had a good game plan," said Bandele. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Ismael Barrios said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
