In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The MSL Montana Pandas defeated the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 6-0, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. MSL Montana pitcher Aukthya Shalabh had a standout performance. Getting the save was Gabriel Peña, his 2nd.

MSL Montana used the clutch hitting of Vincente Canó to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pandas ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Canó attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

The first-place Pandas have a one-game lead in their division.
