Voodoo Prevail, 3-1, Over MSL Ft. Worth
|
MSL New Orleans starter Yasuhiko Kimura put a stranglehold on the MSL Ft. Worth offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Voodoo to a 3-1 win. Kimura, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Voodoo move to 20-23 with the win, while the Cattlemen drop to 18-25.
Francisco Rivera, the 16-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rivera contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put MSL New Orleans up, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rivera told the MSL New Orleans Citizen.
