In a low-scoring affair between the MSL Montana Pandas and the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, pitcher Tony García was the difference between victory and defeat. The MSL Montana right-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Pandas win. The winning pitcher was García, now 3-1. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. MSL Montana has an impressive 27-11 record.
MSL Montana used the timely hitting of Jing-xiang Shen to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pandas ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," García said after the game.
