The MSL New Orleans Voodoo dumped the MSL Boston Patriots, 7-0, in large part due to second baseman Chris Pegler. On the day, Pegler went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Voodoo. Bob Stevens got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Felipe García picked up the save, his 1st.
Pegler had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for MSL New Orleans, coming through with a grand slam home run to put MSL New Orleans in front, 7-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pegler told the MSL New Orleans Citizen.
MSL New Orleans's record now stands at 11-12, placing them 6th in the PL MSL.
