White Walkers Go Down to Defeat, 7-5
|
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Yuri Tinari, the MSL Buffalo White Walkers lost to the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18, 7-5. Tinari was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Javier Rodníguez, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The win puts the U-18 at 11-12, while the White Walkers drop to 11-12.
Making an impact for the home team was Vanni Perkins. In the bottom of the fourth, the 18-year old third baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 6-4, U-18.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said MSL Athletic Club KC manager José López.
