Voodoo Shut Out White Walkers, 1-0
|
MSL New Orleans Voodoo starter Alonso Vargas was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 1-0. The Voodoo, now 5-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Francisco Rivera went 1 for 3 for MSL New Orleans. The 16-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Luke Little. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rivera said after the game.
