Gallegos Delivers Walk-Off Win for Pandas
|
Behind the hitting of Dou-guan Yang, the MSL Montana Pandas stopped the MSL St. Louis Coeur, 4-3. Yang went 5-5 with 5 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Pandas. MSL Montana reliever Fernando Granja picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Paul Smerdon took the loss. The defeat makes MSL St. Louis 3-2.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, center fielder Raúl Gallegos won it for MSL Montana. With a runner on 1st, Gallegos hit a 0-2 changeup from Paul Smerdon for a run-scoring double, giving his team the 4-3 win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Yang said, "and we're having fun right now."
