The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople had no problem beating the Bompton Baby Lakers, 11-0, at Field of the Browns. Eulogio Churruca led the way. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Ellesmere Island. Robert Walls got the win, improving to 8-3. He worked 7 innings, giving up no runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Snowpeople sit in 7th place in the Menard's Low A with a record of 47-42.

The Snowpeople got an important contribution from center fielder Max Pegrum, who in the top of the third hit a fastball into right for a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Snowpeople ahead, 2-0.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Pegrum told the Ellesmere Island Daily.
