Ducks Walk Off with 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Long Island pitcher Mark García was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Long Island is now 29-59, while Redwood is 47-41.
Long Island won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Wes T. Walker on the mound for Redwood, pinch hitter Guillermo Castro hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Ducks fans to their feet.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," García said.
