Ducks Get 3-1 Win Versus Quebec City
|
Long Island got a first-rate effort from pitcher Chris Adams, who frustrated Quebec City hitters en route to a 3-1 Ducks triumph at Ducks Park. In 6.1 innings, Adams surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Tomás Silva earned the save for Long Island, his 3rd of the year.
Making an impact for the home team was Joey Hogan. In the bottom of the first, the 18-year old right fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 1-0, Ducks.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Adams told the Long Island Chronicle.
Long Island, at 23-49, occupies 11th place in the Menard's Low A.
