Tulsa Wins, 8-5, in 12 Innings
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Foresters Stadium.
The Tulsa Otters defeated the Moose Jaw Canucks, 8-5, in 12 innings. Odmar van der Reijd led the way, going 2-for-3 for Tulsa. Tulsa raised its record to 35-28 with the win.
Tulsa got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Derek Green. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Otters ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.
In postgame comments, van der Reijd said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
