3-2 Loss Extends North Ft. Myers Losing Streak
|
The Tulsa Otters picked up a win at Dodge Field, courtesy of Lewis Burnham. The left-hander helped his team stop the North Ft. Myers Gators, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Burnham, now 6-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. The misery continues for the Gators, which has now dropped 12 in a row.
Tulsa used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Cuellar to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Otters ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Ken McDowell.
