Rhinos Pull Even With 4-1 Victory
|
The Redwood Rhinos topped the Surprise Shockers, 4-1, in M3L Low A action at The Zoo. The game was highlighted by the performance of Redwood pitcher Brian McDaniel. In 5.1 innings, McDaniel surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. The save went to Wes T. Walker, his 5th this season.
In the bottom of the third, Ray Ross delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Redwood shortstop hit a 3-run home run, putting the Rhinos in front, 4-1.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Redwood skipper Dave Parrish. "I can't complain."
Redwood, at 28-28, sits in 6th place in the Menard's Low A.
