The Quebec City Baby Blues weathered a fine game by Plattsburgh right fielder Mathew Lilly to upend the Puffer Fish, 7-6, at Plattsburgh Park. Lilly was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Quebec City reliever Ben Bramwell picked up the win to move to 2-1. Mario Palácias suffered the loss. Quebec City is now 16-32, Plattsburgh 25-23.

Grady Hood chipped in for Quebec City, stroking a crucial 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

In comments to the Quebec City Times, Hood admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
