Ellesmere Island Gets 3-1 Road Win
|
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople picked up a win at Dylan Park, courtesy of Phil Drew. The left-hander helped his team stop the Quebec City Baby Blues, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Drew, now 4-4. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Snowpeople' win now puts them at 16-20.
Early in the game, left fielder Peter Faddeev had a 2-run home run for Ellesmere Island. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Snowpeople on top, 2-0.
"Every loss hurts," said Quebec City manager Andrés Ventura. "But this was a tough one."
