The Flint Crush topped the Shady Side Zoomies, 6-3, in USSL Low A action at Terriers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Flint pitcher and Stockton-on-Tees, England, native Peter Brenchley. Brenchley picked up the win for Flint, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. Flint now has a record of 39-34 with the win.
Bill Clapsaddle, who is tied for 10th in the SA- in home runs with 13, helped out the Flint cause in the top of the fifth inning with a bases-clearing triple. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"Feels good to get the job done," Brenchley said after the game.
