Hawkins Leads Snowpeople to 5-3 Win Over Toros
Nick Hawkins knocked in all 5 runs for the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, helping them beat the Tijuana Toros, 5-3. Masato Kiyomizu, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 1. The loss drops Tijuana to 4-5.

Hawkins had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Rafael Cruz, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Snowpeople a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hawkins.
