Beaumont Nerve Tested in 4-3 Win

The Beaumont Crossbeaus had to overcome a fine effort from Flint pitcher José Suárez to grab a narrow 4-3 win at The Target. Suárez went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Beaumont pitcher Ignacio Ramos got the win. He's now 3-6. Richard Jiménez was tagged with the loss. The Crossbeaus, at 19-39, sit in last place in the Silver Low A.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Beaumont trailing 3-2, Montes Averlino jumped on a 0-1 fastball from Richard Jiménez for a 2-run home run, sending the Crossbeaus to a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Averlino said.
