Bompton Baby Lakers pitcher Rafiq bin Zuhair was in fine form, leading his team past the Long Island Ducks, 4-1. bin Zuhair picked up the win for Bompton, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Ryuzaburo Kawano finished to wrap up his 1st save.
The Baby Lakers got an important contribution from third baseman Mike Harris, who in the bottom of the first knocked a 2-2 fastball into left for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Baby Lakers ahead, 2-0.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Bompton manager John Moss.
The loss makes Long Island 1-6.
