Tijuana pitcher Ryan Vásquez did his part in helping his team beat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Rusty Oomsen collected save number 1. The loss drops North Ft. Myers to 3-3.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tom Gardner? The Tijuana left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Toros on top, 3-0. For the game, Gardner had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
