Puffer Fish Lose to Toros in Walk Off
|
Getting offensive support from Martin Drake, the Tijuana Toros topped the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 6-3. Drake was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Toros. Tijuana reliever Kevin Reed picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Manuel Pasaran absorbed the loss. With the win, Tijuana boosts its record to 1-1.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Drake hit a fastball from Manuel Pasaran for a 3-run home run. The Toros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place sure got loud," said Milton Mathews, the Tijuana manager.
