The Napanee Express went home winners at The Beaver Dam, thanks in large part to starter Brian Pinkman. Pinkman stifled the Ballard Beavers, enabling Napanee to grab the 2-1 win. Napanee is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 16 games.
Napanee took a 2-1 lead on Juan Leyva's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Leyva hit in the top of the eighth, left Ballard pitcher Jeffrey Lawson shaking his head.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Pinkman said after the game.
