Octopi Saddle Warheads with 5-4 Loss
|
Amarillo first baseman Mario Ornelas had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ornelas was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, even as Ogallala beat the Warheads, 5-4. Quan Situ nailed down his 4th save. Ogallala, with the win, sits at 31-62.
Simon Tapley had an important at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth, when he hit a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season put Ogallala on top, 4-1.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Tapley, "but we really needed that win."
