Meyer Lays Hammer Down in 5-1 Win
The first-place Ladue Rams picked up another win.

The Ladue Rams went home winners at Ballpark of Wellsville, thanks in large part to starter David Meyer. Meyer stifled the Crowley Cajuns, enabling Ladue to grab the 5-1 win. Mario González closed the door for Ladue, picking up his 31st save of the year.

Meyer overpowered the Cajuns. The Ladue right-hander allowed 6 hits over 8 innings, while recording 11 punchouts. With the win, he is 10-2 on the season.

"We had a good game plan," Meyer said, "and we were able to execute it."

The Rams improved to a lofty 62-22.
