Brad Terry was outstanding against Athletic Club KC. The right-hander had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Centennial 4-2 win. In 6 innings, Terry surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Li-ping Cheng recorded his 1st save for Fort Knox.
In the top of the first, Pedro Cortés ambushed a 2-2 cutter from Jeff McClorey and hit a solo home run. It gave Fort Knox a quick 1-0 lead.
"This is a very good team," said Terry. "We have the chance to do something special."
With the win, Fort Knox raised its record to 45-29.
