Ogallala Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Ogallala Octopi took Fort Knox pitcher José Díaz's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Nebraska Aquarium. The final score had Ogallala getting past the Centennial, 5-4. Díaz went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The Octopi now have a record of 23-44.
Tim Hopkins was the walk-off hero for Ogallala. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Octopi shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was a good effort all around," said Hopkins.
