The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Hound Pound, courtesy of Dong-hua Wang. The left-hander helped his team stop the Amarillo Warheads, 3-2. Bob Hampton converted his 14th save in 15 tries. The Hounds saw their win-loss record go to 28-38. At the same time, the Warheads fell to 29-37.

Manuel Castillo put Hicksville in front, 3-1, when he hit a solo home run off António Maldonado in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 12th home run of the season.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Amarillo manager José López.
