The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Ogallala Octopi, 4-1. Starting pitcher Alex Nelson played a key role in the triumph. Nelson picked up the win for Germantown, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Michael Sutton picked up the save, his 17th.

Early in the game, right fielder Yong-sung Kim had a 2-run double for Germantown. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Uruguayans on top, 2-0.

"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Germantown skipper Ted Tullo.
