Walk-Off Win Makes Maine 26-28
|
Sea Dogs Park was host to some intense drama.
The Germantown Uruguayans went down to defeat to Junior Smith and his Maine teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Sea Dogs. Maine reliever Peter Gregory picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Orlando Lizardia was saddled with the loss.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when pinch hitter Max Guatierri hit a sacrifice fly. The Sea Dogs went on to win.
"We put together a nice win," Guatierri said.
Maine is now 26-28.
