Athletic Club KC Grabs 9-3 Road Win
|
Athletic Club KC starter Jordan Counsell pitched well against the Maine Sea Dogs at Sea Dogs Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 9-3. The loss makes Maine 20-20.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jeffrey Turner? The Athletic Club KC first baseman had a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put the U-21 on top, 1-0. For the game, Turner had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Athletic Club KC manager Andrew Berven.
